A Light in the Harbor - Art Exhibition

Pioneer Days

Experience life in the 1800's as Historic Lyme Village comes alive on Pioneer Days. Visit with frontiersmen, Native Americans, pioneer crafters, Seneca Muzzleloaders, Civil War soldiers, General Ulysses S. Grant, Stonewall Jackson, Abe Lincoln, and Johnny Appleseed. There is something for everyone in the family. Tap your feet to the music and sing along with the Lyme Village Pioneers. Children can attend the one-room school sessions, listen to story telling and try old-fashioned games like graces, stilt walking and hoop rolling. Take a horse drawn wagon ride and visit the barnyard animals. Tour the John Wright Mansion and the Victorian Guild. Food concessions will be available.
